  3. Understanding everyone’s individual unique situation
  4. Be specific to what would be helpful to your caregiving efforts
  5. Communicate in a positive, direct, and calm way
  6. Find the strengths, talents, and abilities of each sibling and use that to construct the best plan of care
  7. Listen and prepare to accept and accommodate other opinions.
  8. Find ways to take care of yourself.
  9. Utilize a mediator and/or counselor if any issues arise
