Guests choose up to 8 hours between
7:00 am to 6:00 pm
Our Day Program
Pleasantries Adult Day Services in
Marlboro, MA provides daily respite for
the caregiver while the guest
experiences a better day. The program
is very flexible to meet the needs of our
families and caregivers.
Guests participate in: Cognitive
Activities to stimulate creative thinking
and maintaining existing reasoning
skills; Physical Activities to improve or
maintain mobility, strength, and range of
motion; and Psychosocial Activities
which provide opportunities for social
interaction, development of a sense of
belonging, goal-oriented use of time,
and the development of positive feelings
of self-esteem and accomplishment. All
activities are failure-free and are
individually created to focus on the
person’s remaining skills and abilities.
We encourage outdoor activity, such as
walking, gardening, and receiving our
daily dose of nature’s provider of
vitamin D, the sun. Music and Arts are
integrated into our programming to
support failure-free and fun activities
such as reminiscing, painting, singing,
and exercise. We also facilitate
intergenerational activities and family
events.
Home cooked breakfast and lunch are
served each day as well as an afternoon
snack. Our guests experience occasional
day trips. We visited the Worcester
Ecotarium, Tower Hill Botanical
Gardens, Hebert’s Candy Mansion, The
Rockette’s Christmas Spectacular show
at the Wang Center in Boston, and a
variety of restaurants. Our guests are
frequently entertained by musicians and
singers who perform at Pleasantries.

memory impairment program can do so by contacting Pleasantries. A Social Day program designed
by Pleasantries will enhance any efforts to care for a community of folks who are developing
dementia. This alternative provides a fulfilling and purposeful day for each member. This will only
increase the length of stay for your residents. Pleasantries successfully designed and implemented a
program for an Assisted Living Facility in Massachusetts. This encompassed the design of the space,
education and training of staff, program structure, and continued supervision and support.
